In Maddie Jane Weekends

Weekend Wrap Up

Friday night we met up with some friends for sushi happy hour. Maddie Jane was an absolute angel! She slept, she ate, she flirted with the guys around the table.. We are going to have our hands FULL one day.

We worked on a little tummy time Saturday.. That face of determination! A lot of kids skip the whole crawling thing. I don't think Maddie will.. She has the legs going when she is on her tummy!

And she is getting really good at head control/actual interaction with the bouncer! Hanging out in this thing brings a LOT of squeals to the Pryor house!

MJ has still been feeling kind yuck, so it was an early bed time for her on Saturday night. We took advantage and did a little wine tasting with meat and cheese!

We were up bright and early Sunday morning to go check out some cars. We have been debating getting a second car for quite some time and finally we decided to just bite the bullet. With daycare drop off and pick ups and AJ working late these days it had become impossible to function. Morning carpool was taking over an hour and then whoever had the car that day would have to go pick everyone up again in the afternoon.. And heaven forbid either one of us get tied up at work when we had the car..

So we knew we wanted an SUV and we knew we wanted to pay for it in full and not have car payments.. And we knew it would absolutely be an older vehicle and we were okay with that since we will sell it next year when we move back to GA (HOPEFULLY!!!) So we set out on a search for nice/reliable/safe/good lookin' SUV under 5k.. And we found this beauty! A Volvo xc90. It's older than my car when I turned 16 (thanks Mom and Dad), but it still runs great and was kept so well!

My new shirt.. says it all. I get things done around here :) And I'm one happy Mama to finally have an SUV again and helllooo no more carpool!

And we finished up Sunday watching the Masters (poor Jordan Spieth!!) Makes me miss home seeing good ole Augusta. 10 more days till I'm Georgia bound!!
