On Sunday, we helped host a baby shower for Kyle and Katie Hammock at our house for Ms Harper that is due in November! Kyle was AJ's best man and they have been friends for a bajillion years and we were so excited to take part in this amazing time in their life.
(Side note: I have been practicing so hard on my lettering and I am pretty stinkin proud of that sign up there. Thinking about offering a service for brides, showers, etc...)
This was the first time we have hosted anything in our home, so I was allllll about the cleaning and decorating. Everything REALLY turned out so so well. (Even if my mums died this week and I had to just plop pumpkins in my planters ha!)
I went super simple with the decorations and tried to mirror Katie's style for her wedding. Candles, mini pumpkins and leaves from the trees in our backyard!
We had some popcorn for guest to munch on as people were arriving and grabbing a drink.
Saturday was Katie's birthday, so we wanted to celebrate that too! So pleased with that little naked cake - used the same pans as I did for MJ's birthday.
LOVED seeing so many people in our backyard having a good time. We had around 30 people there to celebrate this sweet couple!
We had BBQ catered and did the sides on our own.. salad bar, potato salad, and mac&cheese.
Thankfully it wasn't TOO hot, and everyone was able to enjoy the meal outside.
They racked up on so many sweet gifts.
Unfortunately, about 10 people had already left at this point, but so glad we grabbed a group picture!
Some folks hung around late to play guitar and sip on drinks. Our backyard was pretty dreamy with the candles and twinkle lights to do so. Incredibly thankful for Josh and Brenna helping us set up (and take down) all of this and SO happy with how everything turned out. Kyle and Katie are both loved by so many people and Harper is one lucky girl to call them Mom and Dad.
Our other hosts, Judson and Bailey, were greatly missed. We are heartbroken seeing them go through such a difficult time and so wish there was something we could say or do to ease their pain. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers during these unimaginable weeks and months to come..
Love the set up and details! The cake plate scene is my favorite!!
