Besides a pillow missing somewhere in China and a lamp I have yet to decide on, the nursery is complete! We have been working on this little room since July, and I am SO excited that it is finally finished. The hospital bags are packed and we are just anxiously awaiting Maddie Jane's big arrival. T-minus 40 days until the due date, but I am quite certain she is coming before then. We cannot wait to meet you baby girl!!
1. FINALLY getting my hair done!
I have put off getting my hair done for wayyyy too long. I hate paying California prices. And I hate not being able to use my girl Amber in Milledgeville. But I have had ENOUGH with these roots. And I mean I could realistically have Maddie Jane in a few weeks sooo I think it's definitely time to bite the bullet. I am SO excited to cover the roots and chop several inches off! Thinking of something along these lines..
2. Internet Funnies..
Lots of good stuff this week about how I'm feeling..
3, That amazing husband of mine and FRENCH FRIES
I have really only wanted to eat fruit all week. I haven't had an appetite for much else.. so I had a huge bowl last night and of course two hours later I was hungry again. Age offered to go get me anything I wanted and man oh man were these McDonald fries with sweet and sour sauce this best thing I have had in a long time!! LOVE that man and his willingness to help out in whatever way possible.

4. Guys, my best friend...
My best friend Paige is seriously the most thoughtful person in the world. She had everyone at my baby shower write me well wishes and place on the "wish tree". Well this week she sent me the first one (it was from my favvvvorites Anna Kat and Sarah) and of course the timing could not have been better. That little pick me up was just what I needed! Then yesterday, I got the most precious nursery rhyme book from her - This Little Piggy Went to Prada. It's HILARIOUS and I cannot wait to have some girl time with MJ and her auntie and this book!
5. Pregnancy and my baby girl
By Wednesday afternoon I was crying my eyes out in pain. I was begging God to let me go into labor, I had hit my breaking point. Thursday morning I tried to go to work and immediately left as soon as I got there. Every step I took pain just shot through me. Yesterday I worked from home and took it easy and it was exactly what I needed. It may even be what I need for the rest of this pregnancy.. I got to such a low point. I felt completely defeated and like there was NO way I could do this for 6 more weeks. Finally by listening to my body (and my husband) and resting, I feel confident again. I CAN do this. I can do anything in this world for this little girl.. LOTS of couch time and Netflix planned for me and my nugget over the next 40 or so days..
Baby's size? 5 lbs, 18 inches
Milestone? She keeps her eyes open now and her bones are hardening.
Maternity clothes? Taking full advantage of the 50/60s here in LA and wearing all my winter stuff!
Stretch marks? None.. but I have a ton of scratch marks.. SO itchy.
Sleep? Awful.. I'm up 6 or 7 times a night.. either bathroom, or aches and pains, or weird dreams..
Symptoms? Everything hurts. The lady parts, my back, my legs, my belly. Everything. And if one more person tells me to "just wait, it's only going to get worse" ...
Best moment this week? Those very few glorious moments when I find a comfortable position and I get to rest and spend time with my girl.
Miss Anything? Not being pregnant. Plain and simple.
Movement? All day. Everyday. And she is soooo low, I'm pretty sure she is going to fall out any minute.
Food cravings? Ice water and fruit.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Indigestion and acid reflux. I almost threw up on my boss's wife at dinner last night. CAN YOU IMAGINE how mortifying that would have been!?!?
Have you started to show yet? 20 pounds of alllll belly. Thank you Jesus for silver linings.
Gender? Sweet baby girl :)
Labor Signs? Just false labor/Braxton Hicks.
Belly Button in or out? VERY out.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time? I'm so hormonal and so moody and I tried to sugar coat this post as much as possible, but I'm just over it.
Looking forward to? Having this baby!!!
Today I am linking up with Andrea over at Momfessionals to do a Day in the Life. LOVE these kind of posts and I am excited to have stuff like this on the blog to look back and remember just regular ole days..
Today started out WAY too early at 5:30am with this little family group text. SO many friends and family forget about that time zone difference.. love that you're texting me, but let this mama sleep!!

Every morning I roll out of bed, take a shower and put on my make-up while watching the news. Love this alone time all cozy in my robe and slowly waking up for the day.
I grab a small bite to eat to hold me over and fix Molly's breakfast. Fat pup KNOWS when it is breakfast time. She doesn't need to potty immediately, but food is a MUST.
I wake AJ up and make the bed while he's in the shower..
Everyone is dressed and fed.. and I have the cutest chauffeurs to drop me off at work each morning.
Emails, emails, emails..
A little peep out my office window..
About an hour into work, I head downstairs to grab breakfast. My company has bagels, cereal, fruit and yogurt every morning. It is SO convenient and saves me a lot of money!
While I eat my breakfast, I catch up on reading my favorite blogs..
More emails and spreadsheets..
My breakfast of water and a banana has caused me heart burn.. Bring on the tums..
Added in some appointments on the planner.
One of 20 bathroom trips of the day.. heyyy cooler weather in Cali! Please stick around!
My company also caters lunch every day.. Usually it is two meats, two sides, a salad bar, fruit, dessert.. Today was Mexican.
Anddd I didn't feel like eating any of it, so a big ole bowl of fruit it is..
More emails, more phone interviews..
In person interviews! Work, work, work.
I was waiting on some coworkers to leave for dinner and got a few thank you notes done..
It is very rare that we eat dinner out on a week night, but tonight we had a team dinner + significant others with my coworkers. And HEY look at my plate at dinner!!
The aftermath of family style BBQ, sides, and dessert. YUM-O
We finally headed home way past my bedtime.. Most of the time AJ takes Molly out, but I took on the duties tonight..
We receive a package almost every day of baby stuff from showers, gift card purchases and clothes that I just can't resist.. I snagged this adorable Mud Pie dress on an amazing sale and added it to her already too full closet..
Finishing up this blog, watching a little tv and we're off to bed!
Goodnight!
We had a VERY laid back weekend at home.. I didn't put on a stitch of make-up, didn't blow dry my hair, left the house only once to go get groceries.. it was GLORIOUS. And I don't think our Sparkle Shark minded the laziness one bit..
Menu Monday - Week of 11.2.15
Sunday: Breakfast Casserole
Last night I made breakfast casserole for dinner and it was DELISH. This stuff is SO easy - bottom layer is crescent rolls, then browned sausage, 2 cups of cheese and 4 eggs with salt and pepper. Pop it in the oven on 400 for about 30 minutes and you're set! It's a great recipe to make the night before and cook the next morning when you have guests over.
Monday: Stuffed Baked Potatoes
Man oh man, I struggled to come up with a menu this week. I am in such a rut of things that I feel like eating.. However, carbs ALWAYS sound good. So tonight, I am going to do some twice baked potatoes. AJ has a steak to go with his, but I'm just going to chow down on my carbs :)
Tuesday: Out to Eat
Tuesday night we are going out to eat with my team from work. I often have dinners/happy hours for work, but this week AJ gets to join! All of our team members are in town, so we are getting together with significant others at Baby Blues BBQ in West Hollywood. They claim they have Southern style BBQ.. we shall see!
Wednesday: Caprese Pasta Salad
This pasta salad is insanely easy and could be modified 100 different ways. We boil cheese tortellini and let it cool. Then throw in halved cherry tomatoes and mozzarella cubes and top it with homemade pesto. Easy, delish, and light. I doubt we will have leftovers without a meat, but eating this the next day is even better!
Thursday: Cheeseburgers & Fruit
Yesterday AJ and I made a HUGE bowl of fruit salad to munch on throughout the week. These days I could absolutely live off of iced water and fruit. I cannot get enough!! So Thursday night we will be having quick, indoor burgers and fruit salad. (If the salad makes it to Thursday at the rate I'm eating!)
Have a great week!!
xoxo,
