Hump Day, Bump Day - Week 28

How far along? 28 weeks, 3 days

Baby's size?  An eggplant.. 14 inches and 2.5 pounds

Milestone? Her lungs are mature enough that she could survive outside the womb. But please keep on baking little girl!!

Maternity clothes? Pretty much exclusively.

Stretch marks? I MIGHT have one on my right side.. I'm pretending it's not there..

Sleep? Pretty good, but never enough! ALWAYS exhausted.

Symptoms? VERY congested and snotty, terrible indigestion, and some insane sciatic nerve pain shooting down my right side.

Best moment this week? My glider chair and ottoman are now in the nursery and I go sit in there every single night. Sometimes AJ and Molly will come join me too. It makes my heart SO full to have my whole family in our sweet little girl's room.. just waitin on December!

Miss Anything? Was pretty bummed that I didn't get to eat raw oysters or tuna ceviche at dinner the other night. Couple more months!

Movement?  My wild woman moves non-stop. I googled the other night how to calm her down.. my only conclusion is that I should prob stop eating ice cream.. ha!

Food cravings? I want more sweet things now than I did before my pregnancy, but not really "craving" anything..

Anything making you queasy or sick? Just my indigestion.

Have you started to show yet? Yup..

Gender? Sweet baby girl :) Madelyn Jane Pryor

Labor Signs?
 Nope.

Belly Button in or out? Full fledged outie. It popped out on Sunday.. and it makes me laugh every time I look at it.

Wedding rings on or off?
On.

Happy or Moody most of the time?
Pretty happy! Mostly too tired to be moody. I suppose I probably complain too much! Sometimes I get on my own nerves.

Looking forward to? My 26th birthday tomorrow! Last one without our little girl here!

Life Lately

Life lately.. I've been drinking too many Pumpkin Spice Lattes. But it's my only glimpse of fall in this 85 degree heat without a scarf or pair of riding boots in sight!

SO excited all my shows are back on Thursday night! Oh Shonda, how I love you!!

This past weekend we went down to San Diego to visit some of AJ's cousins. Friday night we had dinner at Juniper and Ivy. It's a restaurant owned by Richard Blaise - who also owns the Spence, one of our favorite Atlanta restaurants! The food was to die for, the restaurant was gorgeous, and this dessert.. holy cow was it yummy!

Saturday morning we watched a little football then headed to Del Mar for lunch by the beach. We had quite the view!!

Saturday night we went to a Wine and Food Festival at the San Diego Zoo. Hundreds of vendors were there with unlimited samples and ALL of the proceeds went to charity!

Fortunately, the SD Zoo has LOTS of hills! I got in quite the work out while stuffing my face.

We ended the night taking an aerial tram over the zoo. AJ HATES heights and held on for dear life the entire time. Surprised I got this picture of him, ha!

Sunday I came home to my very first birthday present - from my mom! I have needed a new watch for a longgg time and SO thankful she indulged me a little bit :)

Hump Day, Bump Day - Week 27

How far along? 27 weeks, 3 days

Baby's size? We know exactly how big she is from my doctor's appointment.. 2 pounds, 7 ounces!

Milestone? She's practicing breathing with her rapidly developing lungs and she is showing brain activity in that little noggin!

Maternity clothes? Kelli sent me more clothes, so I have a closet full! I am wearing something different every day and feeling great!

Stretch marks? Had a panic attack the other morning thinking I had some.. it was just an indention from the bed sheets! haha

Sleep? Some good, some bad. I'll get what I can take!

Symptoms? Heartburn and belly pain when she digs down as low as she can go. Every morning, like clock work, when I'm waking up she puts her head as low as it will go and sticks her butt up in the air so it's poking out of my belly. Man oh man is it painful, but love those sweet little moments with her!!

Best moment this week? Seeing our wild woman on the sonogram at the doctor!

Miss Anything? Eating when I want. I am STARVING at night before bed, but if I eat, I'm going to have awful indigestion and not be able to sleep..

Movement?  This little girl is so active they couldn't get a picture of her at the doctor or get an accurate read of her heart beat. The tech was like.. Holy cow! Does she move this much all the time!?! Yes... yes she does!!

Food cravings?
Sweets!! And really just food all around. I have had an intense appetite this week!

Anything making you queasy or sick? Just my indigestion.

Have you started to show yet? Yup..

Gender? Sweet baby girl :) Madelyn Jane Pryor

Labor Signs?
 Nope.

Belly Button in or out? It's pretty much an outie.. I'm in denial.

Wedding rings on or off?
On.

Happy or Moody most of the time?
Pretty happy!! I just sit in the nursery all the time and re-fold her tiny little clothes pretty much every day haha!

Looking forward to? We are visiting some of AJ's side of the family in San Diego this weekend. I am looking forward to seeing them AND getting to float in their pool!

Laurie's Trip to LA!

This past weekend Laurie came out to LA to visit! We both have been so busy that not much planning was done beforehand.. we just went with it! I picked her up from the airport Friday afternoon and we headed down to Manhattan beach to watch the sunset.

This cute guy accompanied us and after the sun went down we headed to dinner at Fish Bar.

Saturday morning Laurie and I walked 3rd Street Promenade, checked out the SM farmer's market and walked down to the pier.

Our poor pale skin got a little crispy. It was an unusually hot weekend in So Cal.. ready for fall already!!

Saturday afternoon we cooked wings, whipped up some fruit dip and watched nonstop football. (Glad I don't cheer for a losing team like Laurie and AJ! ha!)

Sunday morning we headed to Joan's on Third for brunch. I have been here several times for lunch, but have never had their breakfast and man oh man, it did not disappoint!

Next we did some shopping in Beverly Hills then headed over to The Grove. We got this ahhhmazing donut from Bob's in the Farmer's Market. I can't stop thinking about it!

After a quick rest at home, we headed to one of our favorite sushi spots Sunday night. (Yes, everything is cooked in that roll!)

Monday - Laurie jumped on the double-decker tour bus and saw all of Hollywood. THEN she had tickets to go see a taping of Jimmy Kimmel. Hate I couldn't join her because I had work and a doctor's appointment, but so glad she got to enjoy such a cool part of LA. She left this morning and Molly is already missing her friend! SO SO thankful to have sweet friends come visit me so often!

In Friday Favorites

Friday Favorites

As always, I am linking up with ErikaNarci, and Andrea for Friday Favorites!

1. Halloween Oreos
I don't know why, but the holiday colored oreos are just WAY better. I can't stop, won't stop having these every night with a big glass of milk. YUMMO These bad boys are worth every single bit of indigestion.

2. My nursery glider
I have fretted over finding the PERFECT chair for the nursery. I didn't want the traditional glider, I wanted something that looked like regular living room furniture but glided. AND I wanted to be able to try it out! It was tough finding a store that had several that I could actually give a whirl before purchasing instead of buying one blindly online. Fortunately I found this one at a HUGE Babies R Us about 15 miles from us AND I had a coupon AND E helped us out with it! Winning all around. Now we just have to figure out how we are going to get it from the store to our apartment because they do not ship to home..

3. Baby Molly
Yesterday, this bundle of sweetness popped up on my timehop! I cannot believe we got her FOUR years ago! I had been constantly sending pictures of puppies to AJ for about 6 months that year and one day after a football game he was just like.. let's go get a dog! I searched online for a beagle and there was one little girl left from a litter up in Kennesaw. We hopped in the car and got this little runt of the littler and she has been our dog-ter ever since!

4. Laurie is coming to town!!
Laurie is coming to LA today and staying with us until Tuesday! We have a weekend planned with good eating, a little sight seeing, and of course football. Good thing she isn't coming the first weekend in October, or we would be enemies!! I seriously have the BEST friends in the worl and I am so stinkin lucky they all come visit me!

5. Georgia Football
This is going to be a Friday Favorite until January!! I saw THIS VIDEO this morning and may or may not have shed a tear. I love you Athens. Hunker down your hairy dawg! It's almost SATURDAY!

In Decorating MJ Fashion Molly

Life Lately

Saturday was filled with football from 9am to 11pm. And we did not mind ONE BIT. Thank the Lord it's football season!!

And my favorite game day t shirt is not going to make it many more Saturdays..

I've been busy organizing tiny socks, hats and diapers! THIS has been the best part of doing the entire nursery. I love, love, love all her little tiny clothes being in the perfect place.

We finally got some rain in California! We never, ever see clouds - look at these beauties! (And along with the rain came moaning, complaining, news anchors freaking out, and over 50 wrecks before 8am..)

We found the cutest, tiniest jeans at Gap. I have been looking for some for awhile to go with a couple of her onesies and found these cute things on sale!

Molly LOVES sleeping on baby sister's (VERY nice/expensive!!) blanket.

AJ and I are both learning to fold these tiny little clothes. Oh.. be still my heart!

And Molly has been snoozing.. per usual.

And that's life lately around the Pryor house.. promise to get back in the swing of Menu Monday's and the usual banter around here soon!

xoxo,

Georgia Trip Recap

So between all of the baby showers in Georgia, all I did the rest of the time was EAT. Man oh man, I had some amazing food!

First stop on Saturday was of course the Dairy Lane. Give me one of everything, thanks!

Saturday night was Herbs.. nothing like a plate full of fried goodness. And of course you gotta put some cane syrup on your hush puppy!

Monday lunch was some good Southern eating at Chester Deans. I use to waitress here, and it was so good to see some old coworkers AND the lady that kept me when I was a baby!

Monday night was Mexican! Because the fake Mexican in the South is way better than the real Mexican in California.. I mean they don't have cheese dip out here!!

On Tuesday, Grandma, Mom and I grabbed lunch with Brit. And just like Mexican.. the fake stuff in Georgia is better because of the pink sauce!! (Yes, I know I can make cheese dip and pink sauce at home, but it's just not the same. I like to reserve these yummy things to be had in my favorite places with my favorite people!)

Finally, something besides eating.. I got a hair cut! Chopped off 4 inches of nasty, stingy mess. I wish I could cut more, but I need a ponytail come December for little girl's arrival. I just feel like myself with short hair.

We went maternity clothes and Maddie Jane clothes shopping in Macon and found a LOT of good stuff pretty dang quick. Mom and Grandma couldn't believe I was ready to go after 2 stores. Then we headed up to Forsyth to see this cutie patootie play some football! I mean.. that face! I could eat him up!

And.. capped Tuesday night off with more food. Because you can't pass Krispy Kreme when the hot sign is on!! I'm pregnant! Mom and Grandma are lucky they get to tag along with me for an excuse :)

Wednesday I rode around with Daddy looking at the farm.. in about a month, this will be some gorgeous cotton!

And of course Mom had to get a few more clothes for Maddie Jane before I left.. pretty sure she keeps Ms. Sherri Harris in business single handedly!!

Friday night I stayed with the Turners and we went to the Waco/Mary Persons game. Life is always more fun with this kid! He keeps you on your toes!

Saturday morning, I finally got to see my husband after a week! And what do we do first.. eat of course!! We went to Cypress Burger which is right beside our very first apartment. Miss that apartment, and Atlanta, and Cypress and our friends.. and holy cow I just want to move back ASAP!

Sunday we attended the gorgeous wedding and reception of one of AJ's fraternity brothers. I love those FIJI boys and their wives/girlfriends SO much! I would give the world to be able to see them regularly.
This guy could be the sweetest, most down to Earth guy on the planet. We spent Sunday morning over breakfast planning how we could potentially just live in the same time zone one day..

And his sweet girlfriend Sarah is the best thing that ever happened to him! LOVE this couple so so so stinkin much!!

The reception was at The Estate. If you're getting married in Atlanta, consider this place! It was GORGEOUS and barely needed any decorating because it's raw beauty was all that was needed!

We're collecting photo strips from every FIJI wedding with these two. Life is just better when you're surrounded by amazing friends.. even if it is once a year.

xoxo,
