In Family Friends Halloween

Life Lately

Last Friday night we FINALLY had our double date with Bev and Ben. We had reschedule this date night three times, so we were SO pumped to finally checkout Gunshow with them.

It is SUCH a cool concept restaurant. They have 4 chefs that create their own dishes -  they come to your table and explain it and you have to say "yes" or "no" right then.. no more chances to try it. It was so much fun and we had some ahhhmazing dishes. BEST couple to do this kind thing with :)

AJ got hung up at the airport and was running a little behind, but I sure didn't mind having a drink with this one while we waited :)

Friday night MJ had a fever, but I gave her some motrin and brushed it off as a cold. Well she didn't really sleep allllll night and was pretty pitiful by the time we made it to Sandersville for our family reunion the next day.

We left the family reunion for her to take a nap with the intent of returning for dinner but... she woke up and was really struggling to breathe. So we ended up in the ER for steroids and breathing treatments. She was such a trooper and Fairview Park hospital in Dublin was AMAZING.

Sunday morning she was like a new child! The steroids were working and her breathing sounded so much better. So of course we needed to celebrate on the horses at Wal Mart!

While Maddie Jane napped, AJ and I ran out to Brit and Ben's to finallyyy meet baby Hudson. He is the sweetest baby ever and slept in my arms the entire time. But y'all... the baby fever is REAL. Oh that newborn baby smell.. I wish I could bottle it up.

And before we hit the road back to Atlanta, Grandma and Gigi took Maddie Jane to get some new tennis shoes! Grandma and Maddie's relationship is so special. She is constantly screaming, "NAM-MAMA" !!!

No temp Monday morning, so she was off to school! And after being at work about an hour, I get a call that her fever is back at 102.5. So off to the pediatrician we went! We did chest xrays to check for pneumonia and that thankfully came back all clear - just more breathing treatments and steroids to help her lungs get strong enough to kick this mess!

The doc wanted her home to do breathing treatments every four hours (and she was still contagious), so we spent Halloween at home in pajamas. Thankfully Daddy got her a new tiara and tutu to ease the pain!

We played dress up all day long in between naps and medicine. Those steroids make her cray, but glad she is starting to feel better!

At least she was sweet to Molly -- she said "Maaee I yuv yew".. her speech is really starting to pick up. I have been worrying so much about it!

She was being quite the sassafrass by trick or treat time, but we decided to do a few houses. She LOVED it. That little tutu butt was running all over our neighborhood! And we are so thankful Honey is here this week to join in on the festivities! And now I'm just going to dump a ton of pictures, because I can't decide which to post :)

Alix and her boyfriend came over to trick or treat with us, and we all had big ole bowls of chili mac! It was a really, really great night :)
