What's Up Wednesday

1. What we're eating this week...

Saturday: Out for My Birthday!! 

2. What I'm reminiscing about...
Cooler weather!! A couple weeks ago the weather was glorious!!! We had our windows open, hoodies and fuzzy socks on! So, so nice!!

And we got to spend some great time with our girl down at 3rd Street Promenade. Now... AJ and I are literally fighting over who gets to sleep on the couch, because it is the closest spot to our ONE wall air condition unit! Haha!! 

 3. What I'm loving... 
All our hikes!! We have such a long list of all the hikes we want to do in LA. And luckily with a little one that wakes up at 5am, getting an early morning hike in is easy peasey!

I was taking a pano of the mountains and LA skyline and I didn't even realize I got AJ and Maddie Jane! How cool is this picture!? I want to print it out on a canvas.

She thought it was soooo funny that Daddy was making airplanes with her! Holy cow that guy is such a good Daddy.

Me and Pup taking in the views.. what you can't see is the Hollywood Bowl right behind us! It was such a cool hike that we stumbled upon and were literally the only people on the trail.

4. What we've been up to...
A little Ares HR family picnic! 

Some Mom/Dad coffee dates... with a Molly photo bomb!

Some eating out with Mickey.. 

Weekly church time up in the clouds at Bel Air Pres..

Some stroller rides in the evenings.. 

And a 9 month well visit 1 month late!

5. What I'm dreading... 

The rest of this football season!!! It's painful to watch my beloved Dawgs during a rebuilding year.. everyone is so young and new. But I must say, it is refreshing knowing that we are headed in the right direction! I am excited for the Kirby/Eason era! 

We aren't too sure about Daddy's team either!! Good thing she looks good in navy and red :) (And thanks to Miss Cassidy for all my new GT gear!)

6. What I'm working on...
Meal prep for Maddie Jane! She is eating SO much solid food these days.. And little girl LOVES to eat. I really think she could do away with the bottle except for at night.

I am especially focusing on making sure she is getting a variety of fruits/grains/veggies. Having fun making all her lunches at the beginning of the week! 

7. What I'm excited about...
Planning this sweet girl's first birthday!!! I CANNOT believe she is turning one in just two short months!! Where in the world has this first year gone!? I have pretty much everything planned, the invites ordered, and a game plan for the day. Good thing I have a trusty assistant I can delegate work to back in Georgia :) (Love ya Mom!!)

8. What I'm watching/reading...
All the good TV is back!!! I'm a sucker for an ABC drama. Of course I have my Thursday night line up of...

And Sunday nights with.. 

And this AMAZING new show on Wednesday night.. 

9. What I'm listening to...
Mickey Mouse Hot Dog song on repeat so I can see this girl shake it over and over!! 

10. What I'm wearing...
Y'all Ann Taylor Loft is my number one fave right now. I really can't bring myself to buy much that I can't wear to work and Loft has some SUPER cute stuff that is work appropriate and I can dress down on the weekends. 

Pro tip: Never buy anything full price at Loft! I promise it will get put on the sale rack or they will have a store wide sale two days from now. Be strong, wait for the sale. 

Also - Loft makes you feel goooood about yourself! Always size down, because their stuff runs big!

11. What I'm doing this weekend... 
It's my birthday weekend!! Pumped for a Saturday birthday to rest and relax with some of my favorite people! I am going to brunch with these girls Saturday morning in Venice at Rose. Then as a birthday present, Kelsey is keeping Maddie so we can go on a date! Not sure where we are going, but I am so looking forward to some alone time with Age! 

12. What I'm looking forward to next month... 
My birthday twin Bev is coming BACK to California and bringing Ben and we are all going to Napa to celebrate!! We have been planning this trip for a YEAR and I cannot wait!! Mom is coming out to keep Maddie and then the three of us are going to Phoenix the following weekend for Hayden's Bat Mitzvah. October is a good month y'all!!
