Hawaii {part 2}

On day two, the only thing on the agenda was massages! We had therapists come to our house, so it was so nice to just take it easy... stay in pjs and swim suits all day.

Love these two so much and so thankful E invited them along on our celebratory trip!

Asked Maddie to take a picture with me and this is what I got..

Much better.. love that smiley girl of mine!

The only way to get her to eat much on vacation was to bring the food to her! That girl is a fish.

My fam 💗💗

Had to take a pic of our bathroom! Maybe favorite part of the house.

Cocktail hour while AJ cooked dinner..

My step dad has not taken a week long vacation in YEARS. He got some much needed rest!

I couldn't stop taking pictures of our view! The sun kept getting prettier and prettier.

Day three was for CC. All he wanted to do was go to Pearl Harbor.

So we hopped on a plane to Honolulu. (And how hilarious is my mom with her printed google directions for our day!?)

It's a quick 45 minute flight over to Honolulu - we took the first flight out at 7:30am.

We had an audio tour through several different museums describing the day. I learned SO much.

We took a ferry over the Arizona Memorial - the sunken ship is literally still right under the memorial. This site was very somber and incredibly moving.

This is the battleship Missouri from the water - we later went on it by land.

While waiting in the verryyyy hot line to get on the Battleship Missouri, Mom made her first ever insta story! Look at those two goobers in the back.

After 4+ hours of Pearl Harbor touring.. we headed north to the Dole Plantation. Those dole whips were SO good.

You don't even want to know what Chip said to get these laughs..

I booked a convertible to cruise around O'ahu. We were a little cramped, but the breeze and views made it all worth while.

We headed even further north and saw the beach where episode one of Lost was filmed. AJ and I binge watched the whole series several years ago. This was def the highlight of the day for me.

Our last stop of the day, in route back to the airport, was at a rum distillery.

Upon arrival they give you freshly squeezed sugar cane juice to cleanse your palate.

We learned a ton about rum (a liquor I hardly ever drink) and about the different distilling processes. Fortunately it was only four little sips, because I'm pretty sure Mom was going to barf, ha!

We returned the car, grabbed dinner at the airport, and headed back to the Big Island. It was a LOT packed into one little day, but SO much fun. Glad to get to do this bucket list item with my step dad.
