Oh Maddie Jane, you are the light of our life! You are THE happiest baby! You are always laughing, giggling. You light up every room you are in and a stranger cannot pass you by without commenting on how easy going you are. You are changing FAST.. like scary fast. Every day you're doing something different and Mama can't take it! Next thing you know you're going to be walking and talking. You are such a social girl and so aware of your surroundings. I can honestly say every month you are more and more fun. Oh your smile Maddie girl.. when you smile, you smile with your entire body. I love every little inch of your being. Don't change a thing sweet baby.. we love you more than words can say.
EAT
You have a 5 ounce bottle every three hours and have a couple tablespoons of baby food every morning and night. Oh girl you are loving baby food!! You are a BIG fan of apples, bananas, pears and sweet potatoes.. still a no go on green beans. I don't blame ya! You are so independent and curious - you want to grab the spoon, do it yourself and put your fingers all in the food. You KNOW when it's food time and will pitch a fit if your bottle doesn't happen quickly enough! We're thinking this will be the last month with traditional baby food and will be trying babe led weaning at month six to keep those busy hands occupied!
SLEEP
We have stuck to our routine of bath time around 7:45pm and bed immediately after. You are consistently waking up once during the middle of the night these days. But you have a quick diaper change and a bottle and you're out about 15 minutes later. About once a week you'll sleep through the night.. Either way, you wake up around 6:30am. You take a good nap {an hour or so} in the morning and afternoon and have a few cat naps here and there. Most nights you fall asleep with ease but every now and then you'll put up a fight.. and it's usually when you didn't nap well during the day. You always sleep in your crib at night, and you have to be swaddled because you move your arms and legs like a wild woman! Keep it up sweet girl, we are THANKFUL parents!

DEVELOPMENT
Where do I even begin? This has been the biggest month of development. You love standing up while we hold your hands and can do it forever. You can sit up tripod style if we get you in just the right position. You are a roller! But a lot of the times you get stuck on your tummy and get ticked ha. You are reaching and grabbing and trying to put anything and everything in your mouth. Those teeth are coming any day now.. the drool. Holy cow, the drool. You have found your feet and are constantly trying to get them in your mouth. You're growing, growing.. mostly still in 0-3 onesies but need 6 months for anything with pants and wearing size 2 diapers.
LOVE/HATE
You LOVE bath time and LOVE that your Daddy does it every night. You HATE when it's time to get out and usually cry in between then and your bottle. Your new found LOVE of screaming is pretty hilarious. I know we are going to have a talker on our hands. You LOVE Sophia the giraffe most, but anything you can put in your mouth and chew on will do. You HATE snuggling most of the time and it breaks Mama's heart. You are so stinkin independent and want to do your own thing. You HATE the car seat in Daddy's car but totally fine with the one in Mom's.. You LOVE daycare and Ms. Jenny and you are itching to be able to play with all the other kids. You are so much more aware now and HATE when we walk away. You LOVE playing in your jumpy seat now and it's even better when a book is being read to you.
